Well, this is a new one for me. Just had a phone call fron the “UK Government finance department” (who appear to be using a call cantre based in the far east) informing me that I’d been awarded £8000 because I’m a loyal citizen.

The caller said her name was Rachel Taylor (yeah, right) saying to phone this number 0203864986 within 5 minutes of hanging up and quote IJ240 to receive this money.

Bit disappointed that I didn’t get to extend the call beyond about 6 mins, my current record for Windows scams is 25 mins.

yes, amateur. I got 45 plus a call-back and then another call-back from his manager a couple of days later, ‘cos they thought they had bust my computer !
