This is not really a new occurance, but we are finding its not just your direct employer who are being basrards…i work as an engineer in the building game and our clients are absolutly savage at the moment and will happilly see you doing a project for no profit and then agrue the toss over reasonable or justified extra costs during the contract. Basically contractors are having the shit kicked out of them.

To be fair I’m whinging but I am earning the company money at the minute which puts me a fair way down what we have christened the “Shit list” a rather obvious league of who will be shown the door first, I’m aware of a few people planning exit strategies, I think any manger who drives 50% of his Engineering team out the door inside of 6 months (which this one may well do)deserves to go but I doubt he will…
