Morning, new 9 speed chain required, had a shimano hg73 for last 9 months, now well stretched and knackered, want one that stays shiny after washing bike (is that zinc plated?) as hg73 has a dull finish.

I’ve just had the same dilemma. Have an HG93 chain on currently but it’s just about had it so I’ve ordered a KMC chain to try.

Fingers crossed it’ll last a little longer than the 700miles the hg93 survived.

SRAM 951 is fine. Cant see the point in buying more expensive ones. Its shiny’ish if you clean it after the ride!

Shimano CN-YM81, it’s expensive, but lasts forever. And, it’s a bit bling too 🙂

One One seem to have the best deals at the moment. SRAM 971s for under a tenner is a pretty good deal.
