    Yo,

It is my sisters birthday next month and she has said she would like to get a entry level bike for about £300, but can't as is skint and work don't do cycle2work scheme. So i am going to do the brotherly thing and cobble something together for her off the classifieds and spare parts bin. Thing is i don't really know what frame size to go for to suit a lady of 5’4. Thinking 14" or is that too small?

    Cheers all.

TBH a 14 inch should be fine and would give some scope for a adjustment ie, a seat that's reasoanble high and adjustment by stem length etc. Hard to tell though without trying. I would say it depends maninly on top tube length as even at 14inch frames vary as do some 16 inchers that come uop small. I'd say stick to 14 / 15 inch. 13 may be too small. IMHO.

    My wife is 5ft 4" and take a 14" Kinesis XC2 frame FWIW 🙂

5'4" here, short legs and longer body. I've got a 14" 456 and it's pretty much spot on.

Oh, and a great bike too 🙂
