My two man tent (North Face Merlin) has just given up the ghost. After two, three years of storage it felt a bit tacky when we pitched it Saturday night on Harris…. And boy, did we get weather! It pished down and it was decidedly blowy! Unsurprisingly, it leaked. Not badly, but enough to piss me off. The following day it shed all the taping on the seams (looked like a chronic case of tent dandruff!). I got it about 10 years ago half price in a Tiso sale so reckon I’ve had my £125 worth out of it.

So I need a new one. I’m looking for two man (or large one man) that is lightweight and packs up small enough to fit motorbike paniers (or roll bag).

Ideally sub £200. Definitely sub £300.

Any recommendations and a steer to where will have EOS sales?
