    If you go around punching people, you should be prepared (and deserve) to go down for assault or possibly even manslaughter.

    Of course. But my point was, that there was no intention to kill, hence the manslaughter charge. Seems it was the punch that led to the man’s death. Very sad. But when I said an ‘unlucky punch’, I meant a punch that caused far more harm than was intended. Poor choice of language though I’ll admit.

    Yet more wasted lives and upset for the families and friends involved. It is so easily done to let the anger of the moment rule your head but this can be one of the unfortunate consequences of allowing it to happen. A real shame for all those involved.
