Apparently you can view some of the historic maps with an overlay of a modern map but I haven't worked out how to do that yet.

This is Stirling Old Bridge in 1896:
Note the railway lines (through Raploch!), woolen mill, poorhouse and curling pond.
How I yearn for the good old days.
