  • narrow/wide oval ring. What are the chances of it shifting ?

my snugglespeed is currently really a 3-speed with a triple at the front (it’s sometimes a fatbike and I’m gear-curious from that perspective)

I did buy a narrow-wide ring (middleish) a while ago and I now “need” to replace the hooky one that’s on just now

If I put the n/w one on will it refuse to shift entirely, will I have to back right off and wait 5 minutes for it to go or will it be nearly as smooth as any normal setup ?

Biopace shifted OK. But then all rings were wobbly.

Even if it shifts off, I’ll pretty much guarantee it’ll be a bu99er for the chain to get back on it – the chain won’t go on one ‘set’ of teeth at all.
