I’m building a 650c roadbike for my missus as a xmas present (she’s only little so big wheels would be silly).
I’ve got some 23mm tyres on their way, which will give a wheel diameter similar to a 26″ wheel with slicks. I want to put mudguards on the bike so she has no excuse in winter. (I think the frame has mounts). Problem is, all the 26″ guards seem to be 55mm or bigger, so will look silly on a skinny tyred road bike. Narrow section guards only seem to come in 700c.
Are there any narrow guards out there for 650c/26″ wheels?

the crud roadracers can be teased into shape with a hairdryer.

Do they make crudracers for 650?

OP all I can think of is the old salmon ones which you might be able to bend. I hate them though.

Try Zefal. I got some from Decathlon for my sons 24″ road bike, they’re meant for 26″ wheels but the rear is a clip on like a crud catcher & the front is like an elongated crud catcher which I’ve trimmed down to avoid toe clip overlap.

Islabikes do them for their 26″ road bikes: http://www.islabikes.co.uk/bike_pages/luath26/luath26-customise.html

On my old rigid Kona I have some TorTec chromotec mudguards to fit 26×1.0-1.5″, they might be about right.

cheers. Islabikes or Tortecs look like they’ll do the job. I’ll check them out more once the bike is built.
