Now if only they could make it really heavy and prone to rust aftr 3 weeks use every man and his STW reading dog would want a frame made from it.

Suspect it'll cause problems with fatigue though, lots of little crack initiation points in a nano scale.

Really coffeeking – how'd you come to that conclusion – if its tensile strngth is greater its less likely to have initiation of cracks? Do you mean in bending rather than under tension?

Aluminium impregnated wth agglomerations of carbon nanotubes is real!

Doesn't have the same ring to it tbh

    Aiwacan is real??

I bet this material would be completely un-recyclable

I don't think the two things are related at all

Do you mean in bending rather than under tension?

bending = tension one side, compression the other

Is there a difference in the materials benhaviour with regards ro tension along the length of say a tube i.e. in the bike world and the bending of the tube (yes tension one side and compression the other)? Would it not depend on how the material is used i.e. tubes etc?

well, as they're only talking about 200 te annual production, and haven't addressed any questions i might have about potential difficulties with cold or hot forming (making it into tubes). i'm not getting all excited just yet…

    FoxyRider – i don't understand your question…

wonder if they can weld it yet?

    Important point 😉

ahwiles – I know what I mean – don't worry just let it go 🙂
