Seen this bike on gumtree but just can’t make out what frame it is ! Anyone got any ideas ?

The long swing arm and hook like frame over the back wheel has me baffled ?!

I’m guessing a Kona of some sort.

Kona was my first thought.

My first thought was Kona (Cowan, maybe) but the linkage does look rather Trek

The badge is a riders group apparently , he claims it’s a stinky which I know it isn’t

Shock is 215mm so rules out the howler and bass etc

That accounts for the sliding dropout, and (I think) the two-position shock mount at the BB end. Swing-arm doesn’t look exactly right, but I suspect that’s a matter of getting the right model year.

1.5″ headtube in the OPs one, and the rocker is very very different. Not so sure.

I *think* it’s a Kona Bass with aftermarket rocker arms (poss BETD)

Tube fit-up and weld arrangement is completely different to the Bass.

at first i thought it was a Ventana frame due to the CNC work above the b/b but the suspension linkages are too long
its now a club roost as they used either single pivots in their designs or the 4 bar system with teh pivot being chainstay mounted

the suspension linkages look like those ona trek remedy but i reckon its a kona frame

I think they’re Merida’s DH/FR arm. Never saw one myself until I moved to Sweden a few years ago.

where can i get one of those rear shock lock out devices from? I presume it will fit most frames? looks gangstahhh

Turns out the frame/bike were stolen. Does anyone know the OP. The same frame turned up on Hamsterley Riders FB page a week or so ago with someone asking what it was, I thought it was a bit fishy then so linked back to this thread. Someone has now put a post up saying it was his sons bike and was stolen in July . Apologies if link doesn’t work, iPad isn’t the best.

Should have been red flag there, as at least 50:50 chance it’s nicked just for being on Gumtree.
