Most people think I'm a petrolhead with those dog's names, but I'm an art teacher whose surname is Paul (hence Pablo), and Stig was covered in mud and piss when we collected him, so appeared to be 'of the dump'.

Call him Cameron, after the PM. You could teach him to do tricks, like begging, tongue hanging out for little treats etc.

My borders (obviously not springers) are called Braid & Kobe, but they also answer to Girl (Braid) & boy (Kobe), they were both named by me as the 'walker' who has to shout at them in the park. God knows what my daughters would of called them given the choice, but that was nipped in the bud early on...

Dog names should be single syllable but train it to the whistle and it doesn't really matter anyway. Unless you really mean business! My 2 know that if we're out and I use their names, that means trouble!

My springer's called Floyd. Ace dog, some arsehole tried to drown him in a river as a pup, we found him and took him in. Was years before he's go near the water, but he's into it now, he does a fine belly flop.
