I’m looking for what I would describe as a naked/nude sidewall 29″ trail tyre for U.K. use.

By naked/nude I mean the sidewall is of an oldskool style — the tread is black but the sidewall a bare gum/rubber colour.

Ideally I’m looking for tubeless compatible, 2.2″ and 2.4″ wide options suitable for U.K. weather (wet-ish).

If I can’t find a naked/nude sidewall tyre I’m looking at Michelin Wild Rock’R2 Advanced Reinforced Tyres (2.4″ Magi-X up front and 2.2″ Gum-X at the rear).

If you search for skinwall tyres you’ll get better results.

The Onza Ibex is available with the skinwall in 29×2.25 and I like my black 2.4 version for UK riding.

Onza makes/has made some of their tires in a gumwall version:

Skinwall or Tan wall is what you’re looking for.

Maxxis have been teasing skinwall tyres for a while IIRC.
