Monarch plus rc3, black coating is wearing slightly to a whiteish colour on the underside of the shaft about 15mm out from the seal. Assuming this isnt normal? hoping it will be covered by warranty (2015 shock) shock works fine though and not losing air. Anyone else had this?

Mine did this, before it was due it’s first service. It was replaced under warranty but they weren’t overly happy with doing itas the shock wasn’t technically broken. I opened the replacement up before fitting, there was virtually no lubrication in there. What bike was it fitted to? Stumpy evo for me

It is a good shock, and a big improvement over the Fox one originally fitted. However it still surprises me how little oil and suspension grease comes in them from new and that it was visibly wearing before it had been on the bike a month
