I’ve got a tattoo round my ankle. It was (sort of) my own design and because of what it’s based on it wouldn’t look right if every line and bit of shading was perfect. I took the design in and asked for it to be slightly rough as I’d drawn it, and not to be straightened out.
To my mind a tyre print would be the same. Imagine seeing it in mud. It would t be sharp, crisp and perfectly shaded would it?
I recognised it instantly. I used to use those tyres. I like it. 🙂

OP. You seem pleased with it and that’s all that counts. Not my particular hot beverage, but I do like the naive style, compared to the perfectly straight and shaded version it could be.

I must admit I thought it was a forearm, as it’s a very hairy and odd shaped thigh. When all the hair grows back it will hide most of it….thankfully! 😀

If you shaved your leg below the tattoo it would look awesome. But then you would have to walk around in really short shorts all the time for the full garter effect.
