I threw this together yesterday afternoon and had a quick shake down 20 miler on it in the evening. I started with a Genesis Equilibrium Reynolds 853 frame and chucked a black 105 10 speed groupset on it. I added a set of silver 105 wheels, a few Genesis branded bits of finishing kit and a San Marco SKN saddle. The tyres will be changed to Continental GP4000 to replace the Ultra Race but besides that I am well pleased with it. Not bad for a spur of the moment build really!

I didn’t weigh it but I can lob it on the scales in the workshop on Monday. I didn’t start off with weight in mind, I wanted a sensible money bike that is a little different to the usual names at that price point.

they look nice but the equilibrium was one of the most unexciting ‘dead’ feeling road bikes i have ever swung a leg over.
it just didn’t produce a very inspiring ride.
i’m not just saying that to piss you off, it really was that dull!
hopefully your experience will be better than mine.
