Cheers drive, yes, fair one
My new bike- posh winter road content
Here you go
Nope, that still looks very wrong
Yes agree - if it aint got proper full mudguards with a mudflap it's not classed as a winter bike. None of those 'race guards' allowed either.
Sorry Cheers_drive - but you need to add a front mud flap to qualify as a proper winter bike according to the UCI rules
OP : nice looking frame, although i agree wi others that the wheels do need the stickers removed.
And seeing we are on a winter bike battle fest "mine is more winter than yours" here's mine, full mudguards? - check.......rack? - check.....Panniers?.....gasp! - Check.....10 + degree stem? - check......odd bars? - check......strange seat angle? - nope, my balls hang quite normally thank you very much.
To be honest, none of them are real winter bikes as they all have gears . My proper winter bike is fixed wheel, has rack and permanent full mudguards. My pretend winter bike looks like the OP's - except for the seatpost and stem issues. And is made of brushed alloy. And is sitting in the dining room sporting some 45cm deep section wheels to race at Hillingdon tomorrow. It does have a permanent light mounting on the saddle and handlebars though
Soma funk, that ones got disc brakes so it's not a road bike, nice, but needs to be mini-genred into being a cyclo-smooth bike or gravel racer or something. Or free cross. Or road extreme. Or back country road.
And the hoods are too low on that kinesis.
Proper winter road bike (tape is now black)
Far too clean to be a proper winter bike
Somafunk, do like those Tripsters. Panniers though, does that not move a bike out of winter trainer into commuter territory?
Thanks for the info on the 586 ...
Posh winter road bike?
Campag Record 10spd (still the best imho) - tick
Rotor 3D chainset with Q-Rings - tick
Carbon bars and seatpost - tick
Carbon railed saddle (Prologo Scratch Nack) - tick
Chris King bits (headset and BB) - tick
32 spoked wheels - tick
28mm tyres - tick
Full mudguards (with extra eyelets for racks) - tick
'Custom-made' rear mudflap - tick
(oh, and it's still for sale as well - frame/fork/headset/guards/seatpost as a package)
..............and it's spotlessly clean!
