It’s been brill but by today’s standards probably out of date (much like me with trying to find a replacement!)

Can anyone recommend a good replacement camera?

    Many thanks

    I’ve just bought a Lumix TZ8.

    very impressed.

My wee Ricoh CX2 is a cracker of a point and shoot with a few more ‘tweakable’ bits than normal – all for £120.

I’d get an S95 if I thought I could justify £300. I couldn;t so I got an Ixus 105 – not the best camera i the world but adequate, and one-third the price

Lumix TZ8 or TZ10 – both have had their prices significantly reduced this year, have great zoom (12x), video and get very good reviews.

i lost my ixus 800 or whatever so just before my hols to Greece i bought a sony dsc tx5

water/shock/dust proof etc and takes a decent pic, my underwater shots arnt great, but the panoramic feature is very good as is the video quality
    bit pricey mind
