This is my first proper bike, I built it all myself with no experience, some pointers in the right direction and lots of shed time! Was all done on a tight budget but I think it turned out quite well, Couple if weeks ago i took it round all the blacks in Llandegla, Coed y Brenin and Brechfa and up and down Snowdon with no major problems.
    What d’ya thik of it?

Nice bike, good choices of places to take it, good colour, no mechanicals = WIN

    Nice one, well done 😀

Quite like it, apart from the stem (and blue hoses)

Why is it badged as an Inbred out of curiosity?

    Overall a win though 🙂

gofasterstripes: oops, just finished servicing the forks and put it back together for a ride before dark in a hurry, so forgot to trim it!
TheArtist: Blue hoses came with the secondhand brakes, tried to continue it a bit with the blue skewer but black would be better.. Don’t know why it is badged as an inbred to be honest
    Thanks!

Sod the lawn look at that tyre logo alignment!!!

    Stem 🙁
    Long blue hoses :/

Rest looks really great for a first build and absence of mechanical says good job

Haha unfortunately time was spent in the shed and not caring for the lawn….
The stem is a must for my poor bad back

Had same frame/forks/wheels on my old bike, you’ll enjoy it.

Grass a bit patchy, get that sorted!

It’s got 47,326 more gears than it needs… Other than that, the cable tie and the shoddy lawn,,,good job!

I was considering going double up front but i do use the whole range of gears so it makes sense to stay triple i reckon.. and yes I will sort the lawn out!
Sandwicheater, probably ‘cos it’s your frame 😉

Nice (stem excepted). Very good choice of frame and other bits – you’ve built a rather nice bike there. Impressed you’ve given it a good run out too 🙂

Earlier 456s were badged ‘Inbred’ but it’s a 456 you’ve got. I’m pretty sure it’s the seatstay / top tube / seat tube junction that gives away the difference – and the top tube diameter. Could be wrong though – has been known before.

EDIT: Linky for how to tell the difference. It’s on STW, so it must be right.

Early 456 were just an Inbred incarnation…

Looks great. Maybe its the angle, but is front hose a bit short ?

Good, honest build with unpretentious parts that compliment the frame. The colour scheme is properly understated too. Well done!

Nice link 😉 There are more differences betwixt them, but that’s he most obviously identifiable.

Nice bike! About 26 too many gears for my tastes, but to each his own!
