I am now the proud owner of a baby blue Ukulele – an item that when leaving the house this morning I didn’t even consider I’d come home with……

Can strum a few chords, but my fingers hurt already 😯

Anyone one else on here rock the 4-strings then??!!

My mate bought a bright pink one on an impulse buy. Got bored of it within a week or so.

I tinker with the uke but am getting to grips with the mandolin mostly….

The uke is a great, fun instrument!

Their addictive apparently, m8 got one for last Xmas, he now has 3. He can play a passable tune, though I’ve yet to recognise any until he tell us what it is…

Was chatting to one of the guys in Cranes music shop in Cardiff (music shops are second only to bike shops when it comes to temptation to spend £££..). Apparently, ukeleles are selling like hotcakes at the moment. Wonder how long it will take before someone mentions Jake Shimabukuro……….

I used to play, but my massive hands prevented me from progressing into more complex strumming.

I also sometimes used to use a felt plectrum.

Oh it wasn’t much – about £25 for it and a book to learn how to use it!
    Cheap and cheerful, but tuneful!

Roll up, roll up, come and see DrP’s eclectic mix of random objects…
See the incredible bald hamster, the garage Dyson, the bicycle made for 2 towing a kiddie trailer, the radio controlled toys for an adult who really should know better; all this to the tune of a tiny guitar like thing…..!

    You around tomorrow Rusty?

Aw, reminds me of Fluffless – she lived for ages after losing all her fur.

She was actually called Fluffless long before the alopecia set in . . . previous hammy was very fluffy y’ see.

Did you rename fluffles to wrinkles?

I have a 5 string banjo, need to work on my skillz some more. However when I play even simple stuff lil grips starts doing crazy dancing, it’s ace and really funny 🙂

Yeah, should’ve done. Here she is looking rather smooth before the wrinkles set in . . .

Elf, if I try to extract it from the ironing pile it could fall on me . . . it must be about 5′ high 😳 . It’s in there somewhere (and no I don’t intend ironing the dog’s clothes) – pics as soon as it materializes.
