So being on the late shift in the office on a friday night, I’ve raided the hospitality fridge and the beer is best before 20/07/13.

It’s not going to stop me….

It tastes just as is should….

But then again, it is Bud… so it tastes like carp in the first place

I’m drinking Stella for a laugh.

I’d had the most stressful week of the last 14 years this week and I’m on the shit lager as a result. Boo ya!

I’ve just opened this, apparently voted best beer in the world. Father I law got them from the times wine club. Not bad for free beer!

Going to check out one of the local micro pubs tonight. We’re a bit spoilt round here now and I’ve turned into a right beer snob as a result! Probably kick off with Hophead’s Dark Star if they’ve still got it on.

Happy memories of Harvey’s. The Bugle, Mitre, Lewes Arms….
Just had a Tiger cos it was cheap in supermarket.
About to open a Riggwelter with more in reserve.

Maximo Park’s No.5 beer brewed for and sold on their current tour. Picked up a couple of bottles at their gig at Rock City this week.

    That’ll be accompanying tonight’s curry. 😀

The memories if being so drunk while skiing, I couldn’t get down the nursery slope back to my chalet….

I’ve just had a rather nice bottle of Fullers honey beer, and I’ll move onto some bath ales shortley. 4 for £5 at tesco, you can’t go wrong!

Depends what the pub has on tap later. Usually Doom Bar, or Courage, but they’ve had Betty Stoggs the last couple of weekends, and could easily have other guest beers; the rugby themed ones were great fun.
There’s a new real ale pub opening next week in town, three regular beers, two from Box Steam Brewery, and one from Windrush, who I don’t know, and five guest beers, plus a bunch of proper ciders and perry’s, and continental Belgian and German lager, none of the fizzy, tasteless crap.
This could, of course, be highly detrimental to my health and finances…

    Tea,

I’ve stopped drinking for a while, in an effort to loose a few Lb’s. I’m not sure how it’s affecting me but I do know that when I saw some bloke in the supermarket stocking up on a few cases of beer, I did pity him and think what a fool he was.

Perhaps I’ve become the non drinking equivalent of an ex smoker.

Inspired by the recent dark beers thread, a Thwaites Mild I picked up in M&S on the way home.

Going out to the pub, so whatever cask is on I suppose.

Can I just point out, having a hospitality fridge with out of date beer??!! You really know how to treat your customers. 😆

edit – mild doesn’t count as dark beer. It’s actually dark water.

I wasn’t going to, but I just dipped into the box of gluten-free mystery and got…

The only one in the box that I’ve tried before, how boring. Nice though.
