I know we have a number of musicians on here. I’ve been enjoying using bit of software called ninjam. It’s a plugin to a DAW, but allows you to play online with other folk. It overcomes latency issues by aligning at the end of an interval (e.g. 4 bars). Although you’re hearing audio that is essentially up to (e.g.)4 bars old, providing it’s a looped sequence it fits amazingly well and you’d swear blind you were all playing at once.

I use Reaper or Live9 as a DAW and use the Jamtaba VST plugin. Maybe I’ll see some of you on there?

jamtaba is better than ReaNinjam (Reaper native plugin) IMHO. It allows syncing with the DAW and a nicer interface.

Aye have just used the standalone ninjam app. But i couldn’t use any of my pluggins with it. Neither could i use asio. So my guitar sounded rubbish. This should provide hours of fun! 🙂 My evening sorted!
