Nothing from the last couple of years? Weird.

There's so much out there I just don't know where to start.

I really, really love it. Much better (IMO) than High or Carnival…a bit better than Eight – but it reminds me of why I loved them back in the NRFTW/GOC/T&C days.

Can't get enough of it. My favourite song changes every day I listen to it, but currently it's Autumn.

My god, people still listen to 80s bands?

Until now, I always had you down as pretty open minded about music.

an 80s band is to me a band that happened, and then stopped happening, in the 80s. Like a band that I was in at the time.

Does anybody call The Rolling Stones a "60s band"? (ok, they are in their 60s but that's another issue!)

NMA are as current as they always have been. Go see them live, you'll see what I mean.

BTW T&C is still my favourite, but TIAGD is high up on my list, higher than High anyway 😉

Florence and the Machine are worth a **** punt.

You could do worse than investigate Fleet Foxes.

Doves latest is a bit of a grower.

Sia's "Some People Have Real Problems" is a bit of a jewel.

Toying with the latest offering from Muse but heard lots of indifferent reviews.

Oh, and CFH I don't think that Elgar has produced much over the last couple of years…

All of Elbow's albums, Arcade Fire, Death Cab For Cutie, Stars, The Dears, Wolf Parade, Great Lake Swimmers, Howling Bells, Laura Marling, Gemma Heyes, Blood Red Shoes, The Joy Formidable…
    That's just for starters.

Tom Waits – Orphans is pretty special
    Elbow – Seldom Seen Kid
Animal Collective – Merriweather Post Pavilion for its oddness.
Tiniwaren is great, Autechre and Four Tet for weird electronica

And why not give Jazz a try? There is plenty of great stuff out there, some you might already like but not know who it is try listening to Miles Davis – So What, or Herbie Hancock – Cantaloupe Island on youtube/spotify or whatever
