I don’t particularly like them bit they serve a purpose and it is that time of year again.
Found an old front Shockboard mudguard in the garage yesterday but it needs a fitting kit…do I buy that kit or for a few quid more should I get a far less in-yer-face Fender Bender? Are they any good?
I currently use a Rapid Racer neoprene things that goes between the fork stanctions – it’s ok but not brilliant.
If you partake in such things what’s your guard of choice?

I like the discreet look of the Mudhugger.
Skockboard works a treat too and can be removed very easily, but very ‘visually there’.

Mitsumonkey, they are not as good as a Mudhugger Crud Catcher combo. Plus they are ugly and expensive.
They do however provide a good mount for a full guard.

Edit..yeah I know pot kettle and all that!

I love your bike zippykona. The wrongest bike ever! My highlights are the little spoiler on the seat clamp and the massive curly CB aerial rising from the front mudguard.

I didn’t think they looked that ugly 😳

I prefer the look of no mudguards at all but I prefer not getting sh#t up more!

Can’t personally bring myself to fit proper mudguards to the mtb, so I’ve compromised on an Ass Saver (wide), for £7.

Just want to keep the worst of the wet stuff off my arse really…

Well they came yesterday, fit was easy enough, very good protection from road spray, muck etc
But yes they look f’ing hideous!
