Anyone got any tips for a decent rear guard for a carbon frame (456)

I made my own based on a mucky nutz style but don’t want zip ties going through the clear coat.

    Any recommendations?

Mudhugger until Rockguardz sort themselves out and make something carbon. Protect the frame with tape first.

I just got a Mudhugger set which I’m very pleased with, no extra noise and very effective, plus once you get used to them they really don’t look too bad. Heli tape the frame first if you’re bothered about cosmetic damage by zip ties.

Zefal. The only thing I found to suit a 135 29er. All mudguards are fugly but this is one of the lesser fugliest and at least doesn’t rattle.

    Mudhugger.

as above, protect your frame with the supplied tape.
I also put amalgimating tape over this (like bike innertubes) then mounted the mudhugger on this to prevent it cutting into my Carbon frame.

looks “unsexy” on the bike but hell with that as once the mud starts flying you’ll be the cleanest guy in the group.

I’ve tested other mudguards and nothing comes close to mudhuggers.
Having met the guy too i wish him all the best, he’s a nice chap.

I must say I’d never heard of the Mudhugger until this thread – it looks fit for purpose.
