im running continental verticals 2.30 on my 2006 S Works enduro
and my bro is running nobby nics 2.25’s on his Stumpy pro.

what kind of PSI should we be running for XC?

set it at about 42psi front and rear at the moment

just wondered what advantages/disadvantages there are of running lower psi??

    discuss………….

only if you consider pinch punctures an advantage .I always use around 40 psi for that reason.lower gets you more traction but theres a price to pay .

2.4 Nobby Nics and 2.4 Big Betties with snake skin running 25psi. Maybe 30 in the back if it’s particularly rocky.

2 bar is pretty much the absolute max i would ever run in a mtb.

start at 2 and come down is my general rule.

EDIT: i weigh 80kg and thats for all riding from XC races to weeks in the alps.

Al is talking about his new fat bike.

For me, LUST ADvantage on a hard tail. In the peaks, rocky trails, 15 st rider. 22.5 front, 27.5 rear.

High Rollers F&R, 30-35, 90kg, Full sus, ride like a nob and never pinch flat. Get good grip without any squirming.
