    standard clamp mtb 25.4mm stem on a standard road bar of 25.8 willit cause a problem? or should it be ok?

    just more choice for the cheap crosser on mtb stems online

    It'll be fine, front loading stems can accommodate the .4mm error. I think even the great sheldon brown has ok'd it too. ive got the same setup.

    Had a Thomson 25.4 stem with road bars on my CX bike for a long time with no problems.

    i had an mtb stem on my cx with road bars for years mate

    edit. ill be honest it was also years before i realised they were actually different sizes lol
