Anyone here have any experience of the Ricoh 500SE GPS

It seems to fit the bill in terms of ruggedness, usability with gloves on, waterproofness and added GPS benefits, but what's it actually like in use on the trail?

God, looks hideous and is 700 QUID!!

I use a canon G9. about a third that price iirc and probably half the bulk / weight. Just look after it.

that said I've had Ricoh compacts in the past and they've been good so whatever floats your boat really

    god that is ghastly 🙁

As we discussed the other day, you can use any normal GPS and add the geotags when you get home using gpicsync

also it's very poorly specified – low res LCD, 100ASA only etc
