As above is there any regular club outing in the area?

Not that I'm aware of, but there are definitely clubs around Inverness like Square Wheels and the Highland club HIMBA. Towards the East you have the Moray MBC in and around Elgin. There are mtb riders in Forres that come East ride with the Moray club too. YOu could get in touch with people in the East of Moray on the forum at Moray mbc's site.

We meet each Tuesday night 7pm at the Nairn Dunbar Golf Club car park.

It is an informal group, a few of us meet up and head of for a few hours, and meet all year round.

What type of terrain do you lot ride on as only have a ridged mtb at the moment with v brakes so would this be ok for now or would i need a set of suspension forks?

Just come along.

We all started with ridged bikes then moved onto full suspension, we start most times following the river up stream, and move on from there.

You do have lights I take it?
