Can anyone recommend a mtb casual softshell? somet you could wear down the pub.

I liked the idea of this but the fit was weird, designed for armour underneath I think.

hagloffs boa. a good weight, casual cut, long arms, hood that will go over a helmet if required but is otherwise unobtrusive, and a nice collar to hide behind when it’s a bit snotty.
edit: breathes well, shrugs off water pretty well until you inevitably kill the DWR with washing, and doesn’t hold much water when it does wet out.

I’d go browsing at a decent outdoor gear shop tbh. There are loads of presentable jackets that’d work on the bike as well. Or have a browse of Sport Pursuit which specialises on end of line stuff of just this sort of ilk.

I use my Arc’teryx and TNF softshells now since I’ve stopped climbing and they are ideal cut wise and warm for the winter rides

look in a builders / H&S type shop as they have softshell hoodies for wearing on site.

How could I forget! I wear a surface softshell hoodie here there and everywhere. Great bit of kit, but a bit warmer than the montane.
