Ok, just built up a nukeproof mega tr frame and converted my wheels from qr to 142 x 12. The hubs are hope pro 2 evo’s so the conversion is easy, just replace the end caps on the axle.
The problem I have now is the rear wheel has a tiny bit of play in it. The maxle is done up as tight as it can go and if I back it off the movement gets worse.
I have torque all shock and rear linkage bolts, anybody got any ideas?

Hmm does the kit convert to 135×12 or 142×12? I think you need the x12 kit not the normal 12mm to go to 142.

Edit… Ah right, looking at the previous thread it looks like you got x12.

Yeah x12 is what I got. If I grab the tyre and try and move the wheel left or right I can feel play. The axle is at the end of its thread so not possible to tighten it any further.

    So it’s not tightening fully?
Try sticking a pedal washer between lever and frame.

Sounds like the hub bearings to me.

The hubs are 6 months old so i really hope it’s not bearings, plus i had no play when using the qr end caps. I’ll try a washer and see what happens.

One pedal washer seems to have fixed it, thanks for the suggestion!
