It depends which category you’re riding in. If its in a team, HT will be faster. If you’re solo, you might want the comfort of the FS. Take both. One will probably have a mechanical if the weather is as bad as previous years (sticky mud, long grass & derailleurs). HTH

    Depends how you define enjoyment?

however, If it rains – hardtail.

Colin, I would bring the one you feel happiest riding in all conditions.
    And also the quickest 😆

Both, use the FS whilst it’s dry – today – and convert the HT to SS for when it starts raining – Friday evening until 2pm Sunday afternoon, when it’ll stop and the sun reappears just as your packing your tent away.

what others have said, ht set up for mud, fs for dry. Prepare to use the ht 🙂

This year I’ll be taking 3 bikes, full sus with skinny mud tyres, geared HT with skinny mud tyres & SS hardtail with skinny mud tyres. Anything with as much clearance as you can get!

Full sus with fast tyres on 😉

Going to be a hot one at mayhem this year…. I’m out for the season with my leg and the last 2 events I was signed up for have been glorious (must be a sign)….

just incase it rains.. def bike with the most clearance!
