On holiday next week with the in-laws staying in Amble. Not really familiar with this part of the world in terms of riding. Google tells me not many trail centres nearby so could do with some knowledge on where to look to start planning a couple of rides? Thanks in advance!

Thrunton Woods on the A696 (just north of Longframlington) – a few miles west of Amble.
Then there’s Rothbury (Simonside) and a little further inland at Alwinton.
If you’re stuck for time then don’t miss Thrunton Woods.
