The girlfriend is going to work for a few months in the North East of Switzerland, around Bodensee. Anyone been to that area biking before and have any recommendations??

    What type of (mountain-) biking?
Probably lots of fire trail type tours, either rather hilly, or flat as a pancake (rhine valley).

This site might be of use:

I’ve only done a short easyish 2 hour loop down that way (in Liechtenstein and Austria).

Well, You are not far from Appenzell – so there is all the range around Saentis, which will be no more that 30 mins from you (depending on where you are on the Bodensee. Remember, even small hills in CH go up to 900m.
Yu can also go over the border to Austria , where you are 1 hr way from the Skt Anton in Alberg – and there must be good riding around there. Even nearer will be behind Feldkirchen.

And 1.5 hrs way will be Lenzeheide – get to the top of the Rot Horn and give it some welly!! Nice stuff around Elms, Arosa and of course, Davos Klosters

Cheers for the replies gents. Unfortunately all recommendations seem to be a bit east from where’s she’s working. Steckhorn on the banks of the west, smaller part of Bodensee. Any more suggestions?
