I’m in the process of sprucing up a tired old Suzuki RF900, and wondered about swapping all the light bulbs for LED ones. It occurred to be that they might draw less power than filament bulbs and do something funky to the electrical system, such as blow fuses continually. I know almost nothing about electrical things.

Am I OK to just fit direct LED replacements?

You may find that the indicator relay won’t work with leds.

You’ll need a flasher load resistor but thats about it.
Otherwise they’ll look like a disco.

    Nice one. Thanks.

I think electrics will be the meat of my problems though…

In that case the last thing you should do with an old motorbike is mess with the electrics, you’ll probably have enough problems with them anyway.
