  • Mosspaul Inn – riding options?

I’m staying at the Mosspaul inn, south of Hawick, next weekend and was considering taking my bike with me for some early morning adventures.

Aside from backing tracking back up to Innerleithen / tweed valley way, is there anywhere nearby which would be good for a couple of hours worth of pedalling? Open to all options, but ideally avoiding trail centres, and pretty close to avoid too much travelling.

I didn’t realise people actually stayed there, I thought it shut down years ago!

    Plenty of riding around Langholm

There are a lot of paths over the hills around Hawick – have a look at the Borders core path map. Not everything is logging roads in a Sitka forest.

Haha! I’ve never been before, but the guys im there with are using it as a kind of staging area for hillwalking.

I’ll have a look around Langholm, cheers!
