Can anyone recommend any ‘off the beaten track’ trails out over that way that are worth riding? Planning on spending more of the week over that side of the Portes du Soliel this time around.
I remember a cracking vid on here a few months back the had the white capped teeth mountains in the background???

    Thanks

    Probably this one

Was heaving when we rode it. Couldn’t ride up to the start cos there were just so many people (mostly pushing bikes).
Think the ridge is actually a walking-only path thru a nature reserve.

@tollah – Chatel is generally quieter than Morzine/les Gets. We found the blues fluid/rocknroller/etc great fun (the blues have some decent sized red flagged jumps inc a big gap !) also the red air voltage which is a short ride around the road from mid station was deserted and excellent. The pump track was also deserted.

The Col du Coux/Arette Berrois trails (as per thread above) were good and although other riders were on them it soon cleared out.

@andy the top section of the path is OK for riding you are supposed to turn off half way to avoid the reserve.

Note the small restaruant/farm at Lapisa is really lovely. You pass by this on way to Col du Coux and other stuff.

Morgins trails are excellent and generally very quiet. Just have a look around.

    Thats the one Andytherocketeer, thanks
jambaaya thanks for the reply, we’ve ridden some stuff over Chatel way and liked it so want to try and spend our time over there this time around. We’ve got a chalet in Les Linderets so easy access to that side of things.
