Apparently, the spare parts are being flown over from Japan. Flown? Won't somebody think of the carbon emissions…! 😉

Does rather seem to be a perfect storm of bad news for Toyota at the moment, doesn't it?

If it wasn't for the previous problems this issue would be no worse than anyone elses car problems. Remember Citroen and the handbrakes?

I thought it was Vauxhall that had the dodgy handbrakes – assuming you are talking about the problem with the ratchet, where if you pushed the button in instead of clicking the handbrake up, it can fail to latch properly.

No I am talking about Citroen that had a problem with Xantias way back when the handbrakes would randomly release when parked. They also had another prob recently I believe which was brought to mind when my neighour's C3 rolled into my other neighbour's BMW.. althogh I think that was his fault.
