  • More questions – can I run a 135 qr wheel in a 142×12 frame?

Obviously you need to remove the skewer to take the wheel out

If the wheel is converted to 135×10 (is that possible easily) will that work ok?

You can only run 142×12 if converted, hub will be 7mm too narrow and need a 12mm axle

Depends on the wheel. If it can be converted to 135×10, chances are it can also be converted to 142×10.

    What hub is it?

ah – its an old XT cup and cone, so doubt it can actually be converted

however, the frame I was looking at takes QR, not 142×12 (older model) so its a moot point anyway

    cheers for the reply
