Lifted from SRAM, about X0 “There seems to be a lot of component manufacturers offering multiple colour options for their products in a move to keep up with the growing fashion trend of bright colours that are a far cry from the stealth blacks and greys that have dominated the mtb scene over the last few years.”

What do you think about this trend for more colour?

Marketing innit. Rear mechs, cranks, etc., no new developments in the last few years; “how can we sell stuff? What’s missing from the market?” “different colours?”

I would like a green frame with green bits on though, that’d be nice.

Yes, I’m lusting after the green alloy Ragley with green and black components. I think it’s a summer thing.

Charge had a green ht with matching rebas on show at the Set-2-Rise race. One of the nicest bikes I’ve ever seen. All this new colour-matched SRAM kit looks really nice, but…

…As for coloured/white components, they all end up looking really tatty after a few winter rides. I’ll keep it black and silver, thanks. I’d also rather see a reduction in prices if there’s been no actual R&D on these products, but that’s a whole new can of worms

For £160 you can have your X0 mech in pink.

If I wanted to look like a member of The Klaxons while out riding my bike I’d just wear a flouro hoody instead of buying a £160 coloured rear mech.

Could be following the fixie trend.

I went into Brick Lane bikes the other day and it looked like a sweet shop.
