No reason not to get a Pompetamine. The Pompinos are a versatile bike and having disk mounts puts the icing on the cake, just like the Peregrine.
My thoughts on owning a Peregrine. It's a really nice bike, but disks are overkill on skinny tyres.
So I sold mine, and moved to a 29er for general use because I can have the choice of skinny tyres with cantis/Vs or fatter tyres eg BAs with disks. And of course if I want to get it dirty I can put put Racing Ralphs on it
WIth what I know now, I would have bought the Gryphon to replace the Peregrine, but I just happened to have a spare 29er frame going spare.
