Do any of the sections of the Monkey Trail on the Chase have names (or section numbers)? Just sorting out some helmet cam and wanted to name before publishing some….

Last descent called "Lower Cliff"?

They have both – you can spot the numbers on the route markers (M1 – M9), and some bits tend to get referred to by name (Lower Cliff, Upper Cliff, Original Monkey).

If you pop into Swinnertons you can pick up a map for £1.50 that has the section numbers and feature names for both FtD and The Monkey.

Ah.. unfortunately I am sat in an office some hour and a half away from Swinnertons and not likely to be over there any time soon so can someone just enlighten me (of the descents really)?

No idea why that isn't on the FC Cannock Chase site or the Chase Trails site – I found it buried on some Network Rail site or something relating to the level crossing.

Section H, Deer Skull, Absynthe, Original monkey, Upper & Lower cliff come to mind.
