I printed some photos for the first time in ages the other day and have realised that my monitor is wildly out of calibration so could do with some help.

I had a read of langfords and also some of the millions of online helps.

From this minor research I have run the free Adobe calibration on it but have also discovered that my graphics card (Nvidia Geforce 5500) has its own colour calibration software so I ran that as well to produce another colour profile to compare. The results are wildly different and both (appear) rubbish!

Am I best perservering with the Nvidia software or the adobe or downloading some other free calibration software? – I don't have the money or the need for an actual calibrator.

Is calibration simply something that takes time and practice?

    Any help much appreciated
