My cars driver side electric windows dont work 🙁

Now when I push the button I can hear a faint clcik coming from the door. What do you think it is?
    1. The button (unlikly I think)
    2. the relay
    3. the motor?

Motor is probably stuck. Take the door card off, and hit the motor with a hammer whilst operating the window switch. Should free it up then.

Has worked on my Mk2 and the girlfriends Polo.

Oh, you could check the switch by trying the passenger side switch on the drivers side connection.

I know with the MK4 Golf there were known problems with the window regulators.

Have a look on http://uk-mkivs.net for more info

regulator has a plastic bit that breaks, quite common.

Check the windows arent stuck to the rubbers, I parked mine under a tree and the gum ran down and glued the windows shut. I drove off down the road and the motor pulled off the bottom of the window, which then dropped into the bottom of the door.

Right will be taking it all apart at the weekend. The weird thing is its both the driver side windows no matter which button I push. It could be stuck as its beenparked up for a while.

Thanks for the help guys. STW never fails to amaze me 🙂
