  • MJ-880 still a good light choice for £120 or so?

I’m fed up juggling dwindling batteries and dodgy connectors this winter so could do with upgrading my lumen provider. I want UK supply and quick delivery too. I reckon it could be a toss-up between this (from Bike Lights UK) and the MTB Batteries Lumenator.

    MTB Batteries Lumenator rocks!

Been using a 2000 lumen (2200 now available) for several years now. Just add a Hope clamp and go ride.

My 7yr old Niteflux unit just died this winter,so I went for a Lumenator .Very pleased with it so far.

Bought a moon light (I know) for less than £100 price matched at cycled republic in Bristol. For under £100 it’s a much nicer beam than my old magic shine. I like it a lot. It’s just the junior model i think 850 lumens but is plenty for me.

Have had an MJ-872 for several years and despite frequent intense neglect it still works perfectly. Got the German battery with it Magicshine UK have them for £113
