  • Mixing shimano 8spd/9spd query????

    Anyone tried fitting an XTR 9-speed FDM970 f/mech to an 8-speed bike as the 8sp FDM950 f/mechs are no longer available. Although it has a tage narrower cage, I only run with a middleburn duo thats on a 50mm chainline so maybe rubbing wont be a problem? Cheers
