  • Minecraft on a Mac – advice needed…

My daughter would like Minecraft on the Mac (she already has app).

Now I’ve had a look at their website, and assorted forums and this doesn’t seem to be any easy install – and it seems there’s lots of faffing involved to get in running OK.

Does anyone run Minecraft of a Mac, and have you any advice to offer!?

    Mac is – 1.83Ghz Core 2 Duo with 2GB of Ram (10.6.8)

    Ta!

I run minecraft fine on my macbook pro 2.53ghz core 2 duo with 4 gb ram (10.6.8)

the install was easy and I can’t remember ever having to do anything special to get it running.

My son is minecraft mad. He runs a mac the same spec as yours. Minecraft will play fine and installs easy. Its based on java so make sure you have the latest version installed from Sun.

Thanks – I’ll give it a try tonight.

I’m not sure it’s a good idea though – it seems to be an even bigger time waster than STW!

It installs the same as any other app.

In fact, I think it might even be simpler – just drag to your dock!

We also run Minecraft on a Macbook Pro – no problems at all.

Download, unpack and place in applications.

That’s all there is to it.
