Middleburn RS8- can the axle be swapped?

I’ve never had these. Is it possible to convert a standard set to fit a fatbike? I’m assuming the axle is bonded/permanently fixed to the NDS.

you can buy them with a longer axle but I’m pretty sure it’s fixed

I’ll have a look in the morning if you want, but

The Left crank arm and bottom bracket spindle are assembled in our factory as one unit and is designed not to be disassembled

Well, you’re not meant To be able to completely remove the axle. However, it is possible as I’ve done it on my old ones. Will need a bit of effort and a breaker bar on the end of the hex key but yes, can be done.
