I go for the goat’s cheese salad when I’m press ganged into visiting Ikea. At least I hope it was goat’s cheese……

I’ll start worrying when they start finding it in products labelled as British beef (as is the case with the meatballs I buy).

Unfortunately it’s still legal to label something as British of that was the country of production. It’s a shame as British Meat has one of the best traceability systems in the world (having worked with my Dads cattle/farm record and tracking databases) it’s amazing how far you can trace stuff.

Buy British and lobby for stricter labeling.

I take it someone’s already done one of those Ikea asssembly illustrations, with a cross next to a cow and a tick next to a horse?

I love those meatballs, but i can’t say i’ve ever asked what was in them or cared really. I can understand the “if it says beef it should be beef” labelling thing and agree with it, but as long as it’s not gonna kill me i don’t really care, does that make me wrong?

At least I hope it was goat’s cheese……
