used to be able to do this but now I cant? MS word 2010.

I have a very large table, one column wide, example

    2
    4
    3
    1

and want to select the table then ‘convert table to text’ and end up with a long list of numbers separated by [comma] so I get

    2,4,4,1 etc

for some reason now it wont work. I just get text with each number on a new line so it looks like a table (but without cells)

It’s driving me nuts – Help!

Yes, as above. The “Convert to Text” retains the carriage returns so you have to replace them with commas.

Wouldn’t it be easier to read in a table? Oh and you have two commas after the first number.
